Physical Address for Watoto Kicheko Orphanage, Olasiti, Arusha, Tanzania

We are in the Olasiti area, about 2.5km from the A104 Babati Road, on a turn just before the Arusha Airport. Use the map below, but follow the road and look out for the gates (ignoring the broken line for the final 50 meters!)

Directions:

If you are driving out of town on the Airport/Babati Road you will pass St Constantine’s School and then Coffee Lodge on the left. Turn left at the end of the coffee estate, before the land adjacent to the airport (there’s a sign for Peace House School, which is a bit past us). Follow that road for 2.5km and you will see iron gates. Turn immediately left inside these gates and drive straight for 50 meters; we are on the right.

If you would like to visit us in Olasiti?

At times, people travelling around East Africa would like to call in to the Watoto Kicheko Center and meet the kids and staff. We are delighted to receive visitors by prior arrangement. The Center is in Olasiti, a few kilometers west from Arusha town center (follow the directions above). But sometimes the day to day workload may not allow visits!

Clothes, food and other gifts are very welcome, anything we would use from day to day.

Please bear in mind that…

Contacting people and organizations in Tanzania can be unreliable, whether you are using a phone, computer or any other device. Communications infrastructures are not very well developed. Cuts in power, mobile and internet services are frequent and signals can be weak. But Arusha is relatively well served; rural areas can be quite cut off. We are also very busy at Watoto Kicheko and may be engaged in some demanding activity when you contact us. However, we aim to answer all calls and contacts as soon as possible!
